  • Logically speaking, if you're applying for a job in Germany, you should have to sprecken the deutsche.

    FP!

    • well, a lot of tech workers hop between borders without learning the local language and don't even plan to(beyond what you need to buy beer&etc) since they'll be in the country for just a year or two.

    • You meant: Du solltest fliessend deutsch sprechen können.

And a bit of bavarian dialect is probably good too:

Du muast hoit sho a auf a bia geh kinna.

(You should be able to go for a beer as well). Oh and on that. Bavarian beer is not the same as the water version you mostly get in the US. And a glass is 500ml.

      Prost.

Sounds like a great job though.

  • You can be certain that fluent written and spoken German will be a requirement. How would you otherwise work together with your team and more importantly talk to the future without the additional language barrier.

  • ... instead of nice sunny places like Napoli, Valencia, Split, Tunis, ...

Why are the interesting tech jobs mostly in dull places with bad weather, no decent coffee and generally bad food?

Well, there is India which is sunny and has nice food, but that's really too far away...
    • there is India which is sunny and has nice food
Much as I like Indian food, everybody I know (apart from Indians, who seem to have some kind of immunity) who's actually eaten anything in India has ended up shitting their arse inside-out.
  • ... as said. At least in the offering that the intro links to.

The truth of a proposition has nothing to do with its credibility. And vice versa.
