hypnosec writes: Philips has announced the first docking stations for Android phones and tablets — the Fidelio AS851, AS351 and AS111, with wireless Bluetooth music streaming and an app to let users operate their device via remote control. A plethora of docking stations are already available for Apple devices, but so far Android devices have been overlooked, thanks to the fact that unlike Apple's smartphones and tablets, they don't all use the same universal connector. Philips has opted for a much simpler solution, using Bluetooth wireless communication to stream music between device and dock, thus avoiding any dependency on physical connections.
