eldavojohn writes: A drug derived from the seeds of a shrub in Australia's rain forests will be tested on humans after treating over 150 animals. The drug acts effectively against a range of malignant cancers including skin, head, neck, breast and prostate cancer. The drug apparently acts as a detonator inside the malignant cells causing white blood cells to immediately begin attacking the life threatening growths. Since the results have not been verified elsewhere and it has not been tested in humans yet, Australia's Cancer Council is cautioning people that, although exciting, it's too early to classify this as a breakthrough or miracle drug.
