judgecorp writes "IBM's PureSystems, announced today combine both its major server hardware ranges, along with network and storage in a plug-and-go chassis. That might seem similart to products from Cisco, HP and others, but IBM says the system also packages applications in "patterns of expertise". Sounds like a bid to combine IBM's traditional-but-distrusted services arm with commoditised hardware and without (they say) the customary lock-in." Link to Original Source
