quarterbuck writes "Journal has a review of the Telikin, an all-in-one desktop, with a touch screen, that starts at $699 and comes from a small Philadelphia-area start-up called Venture 3 Systems.
It is much simplified (no powerpoint editing for eg.) and the hardware is thought through (two microphones), but the review is claiming that the software is still buggy."

  • They offer two models, both of which run a dual core Atom processor (low-end runs 1.8Ghz, high-end runs slower 1.6Ghz). Only 2GB of RAM should be OK for most Linux implementations (though they have a custom Linux stack so who knows how efficient it is while supporting a touch screen).

    These are basically Linux iMac clones targeted at 'seniors'. They market them as 'virus free', 'virus resistant', 'crash resistant' and 'upgrades for life'.
