  • A little more detail: There are now three options only - 1 disk at a time for $7.99 (unlimited number per month), unlimited streaming per month for $7.99, or both for $15.98. I'm not sure what deals the 2 or 3 disk at a time subscribers are getting.

    This is a harsh jump, especially for this long time subscriber. I remember when they went from $9.99 to $7.99 for single disk renters. They threw on the streaming for free. Only recently they jumped back up to $9.99. These are nice easy steps. For reference, I
    • The sincerest way of putting it is that they're doubling the cost! That's truely insane. If they're losing revenue on people using the hell out of streaming, then charge a fraction of a dollar per movie. If people are keeping the disks too long, start charging a penalty. If people keep getting disks because the movies they want to see aren't streamable, then charge for both services! ;-)

      Somethings going to get cut, and it won't result in extra revenue for Netflix.
