The big option missing was "I don't have a car, you insensitive clod".
Not that I need one as I live in a country where I can get pretty much anywhere I want by public transport cheaply, and in a city where I can get pretty much anywhere I want for free. Perhaps you should start getting those taxes you pay directed into things that are actually useful for your own population, rather than deadly to other countries' populations.

Small sample, I know, but the first state I checked, Colorado, has a law that states "passing on the right is legal as long as there are two or more lanes in the same direction."
Colorado also more people moving in from other states than anywhere not named Texas or Flordia, so it doesn't surprise me that people drive on our roads with the same misconceptions that you seem to have.
I decided for the hell of it to check California's law. It's a bit more wordy than Colorado's, but the same sentiment exists. Wouldn't you know it? Texas' law is almost the same as California's. It appears New York's laws are also the same... I guess it's not a small sample anymore, is it? Not quite the "vast majority" you suspected.
