I would be interested to see how much Windows Phones being used. Not every Slashdotter is a raving lunatic who live is based around the pure evil of Microsoft.

Please don't confuse the issue. Windows phones are excellent. But they're not particularly good at presenting what they offer to consumers. Consumers don't understand exchange support. Corporate IT understands exchange support.
What you do with windows phones, along with their xbox/handheld strategy could drive adoption from both ends of the spectrum. But they haven't managed to get that together.
When it comes to updates no one wants to be locked out by their carrier, and when it comes to software people want a big store, and if you are a hardcore hacker type and want a top end phone there isn't a windows phone option (think quad core 2 gigs of ram south korean imported galaxy SIII, or even a decent dual core phone). They don't really hit any of the major markets with a knockout punch. That doesn't mean they don't make a good product, but they could do better in a lot of ways.
